the "Star" in Lingfield

The evening meeting at the 'Star' in Lingfield, which is not far from the famous all-weather Lingfield horse racing track, was again quite well attended. Some 30 'proper' cars made an appearance which included a number of additions to various 'stables'. Worthy of mention was the bullnosed Morris Commercial Traveller's Van in the well-known Bishops Move livery, a Rosengart Tourer, a post war Lancia Appia, and an Alvis known at most of the local VSCC haunts which can only be described as being in a very well used condition.
