The car pictured was restored from a very large heap of bits and since there was no body I decided to create a car based on (but not a replica of) another '20-60 that was custom-bodied in 1924 by Park Ward for Mr. A H Pass of Pass & Joyce, the London Sunbeam dealers. Restoration was completed in June, 2000. |

The 1924 Sunbeam 20-60 has a 3.2 litre ohv 6-cylinder engine with magneto ignition, 4-speed gearbox and 4-wheel brakes. It represented a new generation of 6-cyl Sunbeams, having abandoned the cone clutch, separate gearbox and 2-wheel brakes found in earlier models. The motoring press of the day was extremely complimentary! |
