Mountain Man does not only drive a classic. He is himself A Classic. He is a dangerously notorious 74 year old. The rest must remain a secret.

He drives a 1946 Chevrolet Street Rod. He built it himself . . And it looks and goes jus like a good rod should. Under the hood is a 327 Chevy Engine, Turb 350 transmission. MM fitted a rack and pinion - 4 wheel discs. Heat, air, and other goodies.

This Beast is not Just Show. This machine travels the country . Mountain Man has put over 157,000 miles on this Chevy. So there is no arguments about whether he knew what he was doing. It has been from Death Valley - to the peaks of Pikes Creek Colorado - This car has traveled 45 states and there are not many places that Mountain Man is not familiar with himself.

Mountain Man says he prefers a firm ride, so his suspension 'feels the road' lot of older drivers like the 'feel' But he says he compensates with soft bucket seats.

300 horses pull this chunky brute. A 2.7 rear end delivers about 18 MPG around town. With cruise control set at 74 Mph (I said he had goodies) it glides along using around A gallon for every 23 miles.
