Case Model S Tractor 1941              owner Bob Jensen

Manufactured in 1941 at Racine,  Wisconsin, USA.  This particular model was produced from 1940 to 1955.  This was the export model and was purchased new by Andy Jensen of Wondai.

When the family relocated in the mid 1940's it was driven to Biloela and towed a trailer carrying household items.  It was kept on the family farm at Mount Murchison, Biloela, and was used for odd jobs, mainly pulley work such as hammer milling.  It was sold to Lloyd Harness in a clearing sale in the early  1970's.

This tractor has been stored for a number of years at Emerald and at "Homelea Downs' Cleremont, before being acquired again by Andy's son Bob.

Before being restored, the tractor underwent major mechanical repairs. Work was done on the internals to free the seized engine and rear drive chain, damage which had been caused by water. This was done during October and November 96.   The externals of the tractor were then disassembled, cleaned, painted and re assembled in 97.   The distinctive original colour, Flambeau red, was made up in Spartan Super Velox enamel paint.

Because this model Case was produced during the war years it was designed to run on petrol and lower grade fuels such as kerosene. Radiator shutters were used to keep the engine hot and aid combustion.   In April 97, a new replacement magneto was purchased from the USA.  This was necessary to get the engine running properly.   Decals were added to complete the restoration job.

This tractor has been restored in memory of Peter Hansen, son of the most recent owner and the great grandson of the original owner Andy Jensen
