It is distinguished from a later hub by a large almost flat disc that is threaded on the outside edge, approx 3.5 inches in dia and 1/4 inch thick, and this threads into the back of the hub to hold the inner wheel bearing in place. In the middle of this disc is a hole approx 2 inch dia, for the inner grease seal.
