1970 GTO engine for sale. 400 c.i. R.A. III Code YZ. Head casting number 12. Very rare 4 bolt main California engine. Engine was a strong runner that ran clean and was never rebuilt. It had about 65,000 miles on it when it was pulled in 1980. Since then it had the heads pulled off and has a little rust, nothing serious. I have the water pump, power steering pump, brackets and pulleys. I believe I still have the original intake manifold. I may not have the distributor and carburetor, I am still looking. Best offer over $2,500. I also have two 455\'s. A 455 CODE XA 4 bbl. runner that is out of a\' 73 grand ville . A 455 CODE YY in a \'74 trans am. This engine was undergoing a camshaft change and was never completed, it is still in the car. $1500. obo for the 455\'s.
I also have 1973 formula 400 ram air, no engine or trany, had M-22 4-speed, has 12 bolt w/3.55 ratio. Has the rare factory functional ram air hood. The car has been sitting with no glass, there is some floorboard rust and quarter panel rust.
Also have a 1974 trans am with a 455 and turbo 400, which has all the glass however the body is too far gone to restore. Together these would give you what was needed to make a runner out of the Formula. Call 907-715-4744 and leave a message or e-mail chet3ccs@gmail.com . I am in Alaska.
